Lucknow, December 2 (IANS). Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav has targeted BJP on the pretext of road safety. He said that toll collection should not be used to fill the pockets of BJP workers but should actually help in filling the potholes and maintenance of the roads.

SP chief Akhilesh Yadav on Monday targeted BJP by sharing the picture of road safety program through social media. During this, he wrote that corruption is the root cause of 80 percent of the accidents in the ‘Road Safety’ programme. If corruption ends in PWD, roads will be built properly and warning signs will be in place. Will become speed breakers, not vehicle breakers.

He further wrote that if corruption ends in RTO then only proper vehicles will run and not unfit ones. Only those who have truly learned driving will get a driving license. If corruption ends in the traffic police, then they will stand at the intersections and enforce the rules, rather than hiding in the corner and waiting for rules to be broken. Now let’s take money on some other number on Google. This is the strange use of Digital India under BJP rule.

He wrote that the biggest thing is that if the toll collection instead of filling the pockets of the BJP people, is actually used in filling the potholes and maintenance of the roads and if the people in power use technology properly with even a little honesty, then the media will not get any trouble on the road. There will be no need to organize programs on safety and true media persons will also be able to organize such programs on other topics like Constitution Safety, Democracy Safety, Social Justice Safety, Justice Safety, Equality Safety and Media Safety.

The SP chief wrote that meaningful results can be achieved only by making traffic rules a part of the curriculum for ‘road safety’ from childhood, by creating awareness among them about the value of life, and by explaining it to the public in a creative manner.
