New Delhi: In a shocking incident that has come to light from Uttar Pradesh’s Jalaun, a nurse was allegedly brutally gang-raped by two men, while four helped them in the heinous act. The woman’s family members has alleged that she was also violated with a stick, and chili powder was inserted into her private parts, an NDTV report said.
However, according to the police, the woman was allegedly in an affair with another man, and she was assaulted by him and his family members. They also said that the woman has made serious allegations, following which a case has been filed and probe is being carried out.
‘She was ambushed while going to work’
The woman’s husband said his wife is employed as a staff nurse in an area under the Churkhi police station. On Thursday morning, as she was going to work on her scooter, she was ambushed by several persons. They dragged her into the bushes, he claimed.
The woman’s husband said his wife was going for work around 9 am. “She phoned me and informed me about the incident. A man, his nephew and some others thrashed her. Four men pinned her down as two others gang-raped her. A stick and chilli powder was also inserted into her private parts. The police have sent her for a medical check-up and treatment,” the husband said.
Additional Superintendent of Police (Jalaun) Pradeep Kumar Verma said that a police team swung into action and immediately reached the spot after getting information that a woman had been beaten up and admitted her to a hospital for treatment.
He said that the woman was in an affair with a man from the same village. He added that the man and her family beat her up. As she has made some serious allegations, the police have registered a case and are probing, the SP added.
In September this year, in an incident reported from Bihar’s Samastipur, a nurse at a private hospital cut a doctor’s private parts with a surgical blade in self-defence. The doctor and his two aides allegedly tried to rape her. All three accused were later arrested.
