Uproar over death of newborn in Agra hospital
Uttar Pradesh News Desk: Chaos again in Trans Yamuna's controversial AS Children Hospital. Here, after the death of the newborn, the family members created a ruckus. There was a scuffle between the hospital staff and attendants.
Nagla Dayali, resident of Kishanpal, who works in a private company, police station Barhan, had admitted his wife to the government hospital of Aanwalkheda. Here the wife gave birth to a son. There was a complaint of dirty water filling the child's stomach. He admitted the child to AS Hospital. Deposited Rs 90 thousand. It is alleged that the director Dr. Vijay Yadav asked to keep the child in ICU to normalize his condition. After this the family members were not allowed to meet the child. Seeing no improvement in the condition, the family requested for discharge on days 9, 12 and 14 but the doctor declared the child out of danger. Rs 1.75 lakh was deposited in 13 days. Even on 14th September, after depositing 30 thousand rupees, he assured to be discharged. Suddenly in the morning the staff asked to take the child home. When asked, they told that the child had died.
Women lay down on the road. Hearing the news of the child's death, there was screaming among the family members. The women lay down on the service road outside the hospital. It is alleged that meanwhile the hospital staff attacked the family members. There was a fierce scuffle.
Police reached the settlement late in the evening on the news of uproar. Calmed down the family members by convincing them. Later on the night of 14th the deposited money was returned. The outstanding bills of the medical store were also waived off. The family members went away with the dead body. No complaint has been lodged.
