India Pakistan tension: Two big countries of South Asia, equipped with nuclear power, stand face to face. A war between the two can ever sparked. Meanwhile, mock drills will be done tomorrow in many districts of the country. These include Uttarakhand.

Mock drill preparations are being made in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. This mock drill will be organized simultaneously on 7 May across the country. First of all, people will be alerted by playing sirens and then there will be a black out of about 10 minutes. During the black out, the light gets bloated and darkness is dark all around. At that time there should not be any kind of light. The enemy is black out to avoid air strikes of the country.

What is black out?

Blackout is often done during the war. It aims to avoid enemy aerial attacks. The lights of the entire city or town are made. This is done so that the aircraft have difficulty in finding their targets.

When and when the blackout happened in India

Indo-Pak War of 1965: Blackout was implemented during this war, especially in major cities and Pak border such as Delhi, Amritsar, and Kolkata. Security agencies had advised people to shut down the lights of the houses and put black curtains or paint on the windows, so that Pakistani fighter aircraft would not know the population.

Indo-Pak War of 1971: Blackout was widely implemented in this war, especially in big cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Amritsar. As soon as evening lightning was made, and when the siren rushed, people hid in the bunkers. Black curtains or paints were mandatory on the windows of the houses. It was ensured that no light would go out.
