New Delhi: Renowned Brazilian model Luciana Curtis, her husband Henrique Gendre, and their youngest child endured a terrifying ordeal in Brazil’s Sao Paulo, on November 27. For those who have missed the news, the family was abducted at gunpoint while leaving a restaurant and held hostage for 12 hours.
Local newspaper Gazeta reported that armed kidnappers forced them into their car and drove to a remote area in Brasilândia, northern São Paulo. The captors demanded the transfer of funds from their bank accounts and seized their $33,000 GWM Haval car. The family was eventually freed in Parada de Taipas after the police intervened. The kidnappers fled as officers arrived, leaving behind emotional devastation and the burned remnants of the stolen car.
