Ayush Mhatre Catch to Dismiss Rinku Singh: In the 57th match of IPL 2025, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) won a thrilling victory by defeating Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by 2 wickets. In this match, CSK opener Ayush Mhatre could not even open an account with the bat, but in the fielding he caught a catch which changed the attitude of the match.
Mhatre caught a brilliant catch on the boundary rope and due to this catch Rinku Singh was dismissed for 9 runs. This catch was nothing short of a miracle. When Rinku tried to hit a six on the third ball of the 19th over, the connection of the ball and the bat was not as well as he wanted but the ball was still very close to crossing the boundary but then Mhatre showed athleticism on the boundary and showed athleticism on the boundary and completed the catch.

Talking about this match, batting first, Kolkata scored 179/6 runs on the strength of Ajinkya Rahane (48 runs), Andre Russell (38 runs) and Manish Pandey (36*). In response, Chennai Super Kings won the match by 2 wickets by scoring 183/8 runs in 19.4 overs with a restrained batting by Dewald Brevis (52 runs), Shivam Dubey and MS Dhoni (17*) despite a poor start.
This is Chennai’s third win in 12 matches this season, which comes after four consecutive defeats. At the same time, Kolkata has suffered the 6th defeat of this season. The KKR is at the sixth position in the table and now the playoff hopes have reduced greatly. The team can now reach a maximum of 15 points and depend on the performance of the rest of the teams.
