Virat Kohli Test has asked the Board of Control for Cricket in India to retire from Test cricket. But top officials have asked them to reconsider the decision.

Sources told the Indian Express that “he has made up his mind and has informed the board that he wants to retire from Test cricket. The BCCI has urged him to rethink it, as an important tour of England is going to come. They have not given any response yet.”

Let us know that a few days ago Rohit Sharma also announced his retirement from Test cricket. Indian selectors may soon announce the team for the five -Test series against England. The series will start from June 20.

If Kohli does not change his mind, the Indian team will have to land with an inexperienced middle order against England, in which KL Rahul, Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal will be on top, and later Rishabh Pant will play in lower order.

Kohli, 36, has played 123 Test matches and scored 9230 runs at an average of 46.85. His average has fallen in the last five years, during which his bat has scored 1990 runs in 37 matches in 37 matches.
