New Delhi: As India won the two-match Test series against Bangladesh 2-0, the focus will now shift to the three-T20I series between the neighbours that lies ahead, kicking off from October 6 in Gwalior. Team India will be helmed by Suryakumar Yadav who has already started preparing for the home series by sweating it out in the gym, the video of which he shared on his social media handle.
Rohit Sharma, who called it quits from the T20Is after India lifted the T20 World Cup 2024, saw Suryakumar Yadav filling his shoes as the T20I skipper. His first assignment was the three-match Sri Lanka T20Is which India swept 3-0, making a fantastic start in his new journey. He has been excellent as a T20 player, known for his flamboyant batting style, and will be hoping to come out with flying colours in his first-ever home series as a skipper.
On Thursday, after India’s huge triumph in Kanpur, SKY posted a video on his Instagram handle in which he was seen doing his gym drills. He lifted weights and dumbbells along with performing regular stretching exercises to make it a sweaty session. The video had peppy beats in the background which are typically heard in a gym as the 34-year-old looked all set to lead Team India.

SKY on Team India’s 2-0 win

Massive praise was heaped upon Rohit Sharma & co. for bringing forth an aggressive but risky approach that put the game in their favour, ruling out the most-talked-about “draw” result.
Along with several cricket pundits, SKY too took time out to appreciate his teammates’ efforts which helped the nation complete a 2-0 sweep over Bangladesh. Taking to his profile on “X” (formerly Twitter), Surya wrote, “Special win” with an Indian flag emoticon.
