We will make Rajasthan a model state in the field of education: CM Bhajan Lal
Jaipur. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said that education has an important role in realizing the resolve of developed Rajasthan, because today’s children are the citizens of the future. He said that the state government is committed to providing high quality education to all the students of the state. For this, along with using new technologies, special attention is being given to recruitment on vacant posts and construction of classrooms in schools. Sharma said that we are working at various levels to implement the new National Education Policy more effectively and to make Rajasthan a model state in the field of education.
The Chief Minister (CM Bhajan Lal) was addressing the review meeting of the School Education Department held at the Chief Minister’s Office on Monday. He directed the officials to complete the departmental budget announcements at an expeditious pace. He said that in order to ensure smooth functioning of teaching in schools, about 3.5 crore textbooks have been distributed free of cost to the students at the beginning of the session and school bags have also been provided to all the students of classes 1 to 8 and girls of classes 9 to 12. Will be given. Sharma said that cycles will be distributed to 1 lakh 25 thousand girls in the coming month.
Chief Minister (CM Bhajan Lal) said that the government is recruiting on vacant posts to improve the quality of teaching in all the schools of the state. He said that till now appointments have been made on about 20 thousand five hundred posts in our government and promotions have been made on about 18 thousand posts. The recruitment process is underway for a total of more than five thousand posts of Professor School Education, Librarian Grade II and Grade III and Senior Teacher. Besides, 515 candidates selected in various cadres will be given appointments in the month of December. He instructed the officers to fill the vacant posts in a phased manner.
The Chief Minister (CM Bhajan Lal) directed the officials to conduct a survey of the number of teachers and students in all the schools of the state and appoint teachers in proportion to the number of students. He said that uniformity should be brought in the dress code of government and private schools of the state. The Chief Minister gave instructions to physically verify the condition of classrooms in schools and toilets in girls’ schools and get them repaired and constructed as per requirement. He said that strict action should be taken against those who are negligent in the work of physical verification. Sharma gave instructions to install CCTV cameras in schools in a phased manner to maintain security and discipline. He said that cooperation of Bhamashahs should also be taken in this work.
In the meeting, Government Secretary School Education Krishna Kunal informed the Chief Minister about various achievements and innovations of the School Education Department. He informed that under the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit, the department has received investment proposals worth more than Rs 12 thousand 400 crore. Under Hariyalo Rajasthan and Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign, a record number of trees were planted by the department. Also, 1.34 crore students of the state created a world record by doing Surya Namaskar. Apart from this, other innovations are also being done by the department including School Health Survey, Prakhar Rajasthan Reading Campaign, PMShri Vidyalaya, Shala Samblan App, sports competition and e-Pathshala programme.
On this occasion, School Education Minister Madan Dilawar, Additional Chief Secretary Finance Akhil Arora, Additional Chief Secretary (Chief Minister) Shikhar Agarwal, State Project Director Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan Avichal Chaturvedi, Director Secondary Education Ashish Modi and senior officials of the School Education Department were present.
