'you should not have'
Trupti Dimri's portrayal of Zoya in Animal has grabbed attention. Many people also criticized the misogynistic treatment of women in the film Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Trupti has revealed in an interview with Bollywood Hungama that her parents warned her that she “shouldn't do that” after she was “surprised” by her much-talked-about intimate scene with Ranbir Kapoor.
Talking about how her parents reacted to her intimate scene in Animal, Trupti said, “My parents were a little surprised. (They said) 'We have never seen anything like this in films and You have done this.' It took them time. To get over that scene. Even though they were very sweet to me. They were like, 'You shouldn't have done that… but it's OK. As parents, we obviously Will feel it.
The actress further said that she told her parents that as an actress it was her duty to play that role as honestly as possible. She further added, “I told them I am not doing anything wrong. This is my job and as long as I am comfortable and safe, I don't see any problem in it. I am an actor and I have to be 100 percent honest. ” With the character that I play and that's what I did.”
Trupti had earlier said that
She felt comfortable during the shooting and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga discussed her role with her and walked her through each scene. The actress further revealed that although she knows that these moments have provoked discussion, people can also have a dark and selfish side.
