Nikita Kataria: The commerce graduate daughter of a chemical businessman has given up the worldly path and chosen the path of becoming a Sadhvi. Four years ago, the family members were quite surprised to hear this decision of the younger daughter and continued to persuade her for four years. Despite having immense wealth, renunciation arose in the mind of a girl and she left everything and adopted the path of spirituality. After not listening to the family members, finally the family agreed to initiate the daughter (Nikita Kataria).
Daughter became Sadhvi after leaving property worth crores
Nikita Kataria, resident of Sojatiya Bas of Pali, took initiation in the company of Jain saints on 23 November in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Before initiation, Nikita Kataria’s three-day abstinence lesson program has been completed in Pali. Now Nikita took initiation on 23rd November in the presence of Sadhvi Jayshishu Viratyasha at Shri Jinkushalsuri Jain Dadabadi located on MG Road, Raipur.
Nikita Kataria, 29, a commerce graduate from Pali, Rajasthan, became disillusioned with worldly life. For this, he took initiation in the presence of saints in the program of Jain community in Raipur, Chhattisgarh on 23 November.
Had adopted renunciation since 14 years
However, the family members became very upset after hearing this decision. He tried to convince his daughter Nikita (Nikita Kataria) a lot, but she is not ready to give up her insistence on taking initiation. Eventually the family members gave up and allowed the daughter to take initiation. Nikita says that the feeling of renunciation had awakened in me since the age of 14.
Meanwhile, I remained in the company of Jain saints many times. Meditating on God gives peace to the mind and ultimate happiness. That is why I (Nikita Kataria) chose the path of restraint. Walking on the path of restraint will open the doors of salvation for the soul.
Not only this, Nikita Kataria’s elder sisters are married. Nikita’s father told that we made every possible effort to convince our daughter. Explained to him that the path of renunciation is not so easy. In Sannyasa life one has to follow strict rules, but she did not agree and we had to say yes for the sake of our daughter.
The father told that we also tried to get our daughter married. Many proposals of engagement came but she refused every time. When she did not agree for a long time, we were left with no other option for our daughter’s happiness. In the year 2018, Nikita did a 1100 kilometer padyatra in the presence of Jain saints and sadhvis. Along with this, he (Nikita Kataria) followed many sadhvi rules including fasting.
Initiation program continued for 3 days continuously
At the age of 14, Nikita (Nikita Kataria) had thoughts of retirement. After this Nikita gradually started preparing himself for the initiation into Sannyasa. During this, he performed various rituals of Jain society like 11 fasts, Siddhipat, Athai, Atham, Girnar Navanu Yatra, Shatrunjay Navanu Yatra, Vardhaman Tapa ki Oli.
Along with this, he had completely strengthened himself from inside and outside for the initiation of Sannyasa. Here, Nikita has two elder sisters, Kalpana and Monica, who are married. Now for the initiation program of Nikita (Nikita Kataria), various programs are being organized at his house for 3 days.
