New Delhi: Belgian YouTuber, Storm De Beul lost his life in a blizzard. Storm, aged 22 years, was well known for his adventure-style vlogs. In his usual style, Storm De Beul was hiking alone in the ice regions of the Swedish Lapland. After his demise, a heart-breaking message to his grandmother has now surfaced on social media.
As per a report by Daily Mail, Storm De Beul, was found dead in Lapland on October 30, 2024, after spending most of his year hiking through the remote Jokkmokk region. Here is what really happened.

It has been reported that the YouTuber called the emergency services around 2 AM, but unfortunately, the situation kept worsening. Reportedly, Storm requested assistance services as he was suffering from injuries. However, due to the severe snowstorm, the authorities could not reach him in time. As per reports, Storm had been walking back to his car when the storm hit the area. His body was reportedly found in the isolated woods the following day.
While it remains unclear as to why Storm left his tent, it is believed that the uprooted trees from the storm might have forced him to abandon his shelter. With temperatures as cold as -18°C, the rescuers found the YouTuber’s body a little further away from his tent.
Storm De Beul’s message to his grandmother
The video circulated online shows Storm De Beul showing his surroundings and speaking about the possibility of a bad storm ahead. While leaving a last message to his grandmother, the Youtuber said, “It’s snowing heavily here, but don’t worry, I’ll survive, you know.”
After his death was confirmed, Storm De Beul’s grandmother, announced the death of her grandson at the mere age of 22. The message explained that Storm had been trekking the trail since summer and was surprised by a blizzard only one day away from his final destination. She further added that Storm’s body was brought to his family three weeks after the accident as his body would be sent back to him after a long procedure.
