Zimbabwe vs South Africa 1st Test Highlights: South Africa cricket team defeated Zimbabwe by a huge margin of 328 runs in the first Test match played at Bulawayo’s Queens Sports Club. With this, South Africa has taken a 1-0 lead in the two-match series. 19 -year -old Luan -Dre Pritorius was adjudged Player of the Match for his brilliant performance.

Chasing a huge target of 537 runs, Zimbabwe’s team was all out for 208 runs during the fourth day game. In which Wellington Masakadja scored 57 runs and captain Craig Ervin scored 49 runs in 77 balls and Blessing Mujarbani scored 32 runs in 29 balls.

For South Africa, Corbin Bosch bowled brilliantly and took 5 wickets for 43 runs in the second innings. Apart from this, Kodi Yusuf took 3 wickets, Dewald Brevis and captain Keshav Maharaj took 1-1 wickets.

Earlier on the third day, South Africa’s second innings was reduced to 369 runs. In which Vian Mulder played an excellent innings of 147 runs. Apart from this, 51 runs came from Maharaj’s bat.

Significantly, winning the toss and batting first, he declared the first innings by scoring 418 runs at the loss of 9 wickets. In which Luan -Dre Pritorius, who made her debut match, played a record -breaking innings of 153 runs. Corbin Bosch contributed 100 not out and Dewald Brevis contributed 51 runs.

In response to this, despite Sean Williams’ 137 runs, Zimbabwe could score 251 runs in the first innings and South Africa got a huge lead of 167 runs.

The second and last match of the Test series will be played on this ground from 6 July.
