Ahmedabad, April 18 (IANS). In a tragic incident, 10 people died when an overloaded private vehicle collided with a truck on the Vadodara-Ahmedabad Expressway on Wednesday.
According to reports, a speeding Innova car, which was used as a shuttle vehicle to transport passengers on the expressway, collided with the truck. Eight people died on the spot, while two others died during treatment in the hospital.
Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee President Shaktisinh Gohil said, “This accident raises questions on road safety in Gujarat.
“Despite the rules, private vehicles are carrying passengers far more than their capacity. The government should ensure strict compliance with transport laws.”
