13 bodies recovered after firing incident in Manipur

Manipur News: The violence took place in Tengnoupal district of Manipur on Monday afternoon. Due to which at least 13 people have died. Giving information about the incident, security forces officials said that around noon, an exchange of fire between two groups of terrorists was reported in Leethu village near Saibol in Tengnoupal district.

No weapon was found near the dead bodies

Further giving information, security forces officials said that around noon, there was information about firing between two groups of terrorists in Leethu village near Saibol in Tengnoupal district.

Giving further details, the officer said that the nearest security forces were about 10 km away from this place. Once our forces moved forward and reached the spot, they found 13 bodies in Leethu village. The officer said that security forces officials did not find any weapons near the dead bodies.

Officers investigating the case

The officer said it appeared that the deceased were not from the Leethu area and might have come from some other place. After which they got involved in a shootout with a different group.

For information, neither the police nor the security forces have been able to identify the dead people yet. At present, all the bodies have been sent to the hospital for post-mortem, and the matter is being investigated.
