Here we have information about 400-450 cc bikes to be launched by brands like Hero, Royal Enfield, Bajaj, Triumph and Husqvarna.
Many new motorcycles have been launched in the 400 to 450 cc segment in the Indian market this year and there is going to be tough competition in the segment next year too, as many new motorcycles are waiting in the pipeline. In this article, we have brought information about 6 such motorcycles.
1. Hero 440 cc bike
It is being speculated that Hero is working on a new motorcycle using the same oil-cooled engine as the Harley-Davidson X440 and it may have a power cruiser stance. However, recently seen pictures indicate that a naked flagship streetfighter is being developed and it may be equipped with a 420 cc liquid-cooled engine. Hero may introduce a less expensive 440 cc motorcycle in the first half of 2024.
2. Triumph Thruxton 400
Bajaj/Triumph plans to launch a new motorcycle every year and currently sells the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X. The Thruxton 400 was recently spotted testing and it follows the same formula as its 400cc counterpart as it borrows the design from its bigger sibling. It will use a 398 cc liquid-cooled engine generating power of 40 PS.
3. New-gen Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 and Vitpilen 401
The Swedish brand under the KTM wing was recently spotted testing the new generation Vitpilen 250 based on the 250 Duke and a while back the all-new Svartpilen 401 based on the latest 390 Duke was also spotted testing. Both are expected to launch in India next year along with their respective siblings.
4. Royal Enfield Hunter 450
The Himalayan 450 becomes the first modern 450 cc liquid-cooled offering from Royal Enfield and is priced at Rs 2.69 lakh (ex-showroom). Next, the Chennai-based manufacturer is expected to launch a retro-themed roadster, which will directly rival the Triumph Speed 400. Considering the good reception for the Hunter nameplate, it may be named Hunter 450.
5. Bajaj Pulsar NS 400
Bajaj Auto will introduce the flagship Pulsar based on the NS series in the second quarter of next year and it is going to be the fastest Pulsar till date. It is more likely to use the 373 cc liquid-cooled engine found in the Dominar and the second generation KTM 390 Duke before it. It will be cheaper than Dominar 400.
