CM Sai will attend the closing ceremony of Sirpur Mahotsav

Raipur. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai will attend the closing ceremony of the three-day Sirpur Mahotsav today (Monday) at 6 pm in the famous historical city of Sirpur. The program will be presided over by Tourism and Culture Minister Brijmohan Agarwal and Food and Civil Supplies Minister Dayal Dal Baghel and Lok Sabha MP Chunnilal Sahu will attend as special guests.

In the closing ceremony, MLA Yogeshwar Raju Sinha, Sampat Aggarwal, Dwarkadhish Yadav, Chaturi Nand, District Panchayat President Mahasamund Usha Patel, former MLA Roopkumari Chaudhary, former Minister of State Poonam Chandrakar, former MLA Dr. Vimal Chopra, District Panchayat Vice President Mahasamund Laxman Patel, District Panchayat members Amar Arun Chandrakar and Yatendra Sahu, Vice President District Panchayat Mahasamund Triloki Radheshyam Dhruv, District Panchayat member Mahasamund Ajay Mangal Dhruv and Chief Gram Panchayat Sirpur Lalit Dhruv will attend as special guests.

In the cultural program on the closing occasion of Sirpur Mahotsav, Karma dance will be performed by Karma Party of Basna, bhajan and folk songs by Surendra Manikpuri and friends, Sola Singar folk art platform artists of Khallari will perform. Light and sound presentation will be given by Ashra Bhilai in the festival. Bollywood artist Abhijeet Sawant will perform from 8 pm onwards.

Sirpur Mahotsav started from 2006. Sirpur Mahotsav is being organized on a grand scale this year. For the first time in Sirpur Mahotsav, the festival started with Ganga Aarti under the auspices of Shri Gandeshwar Mahadev Temple Trust Committee and District Administration. Keeping in view the faith of the devotees, for the first time a pond has been built by the district administration for holy bath. On the occasion of Magh Purnima, colorful cultural programs are being presented by renowned and local artists on all three days of the three-day Sirpur Mahotsav. Cultural evenings are being organized every day starting from 4 pm till 10 pm.

The main stage here is decorated as a replica of Lakshman Temple. The grandeur of the stage with attractive lights and decorations is worth seeing. Apart from this, arrangements have been made for the welcome gate, lighting, cleanliness and parking in the temples. Stalls have been set up by the Police Help Center and Health Department for the visitors.

In the festival, information about schemes is being given by government departments by setting up departmental stalls. Besides, the beneficiaries are also being benefited. Stalls of Tourism Board, Health, Horticulture, School Education Department, CREDA, Social Welfare, Agriculture, Women and Child Development Department, Forest Department, Public Relations Department have been set up here.
