Tel Aviv, November 28 (IANS). The Israeli government on Monday informed the families of hostages released from Hamas captivity that 11 more people would soon be released.

The assurance came after several hours of uncertainty over some of the conditions imposed by Hamas on the release of the hostages.

Earlier there were reports that Hamas had insisted on separating the mother from the children during the release, which was strongly opposed by the Israeli government.

Highly placed sources in the Israeli government told IANS that the release would happen soon and that a message has been sent to all the families whose members are to be released on Tuesday.

According to Israeli government sources, the hostages to be released are from the Nir Oz kibbutz. The hostages to be released include nine women and two children.

The four-day ceasefire between Israel and Hamas is about to end, but Israeli government sources told IANS that mediation is being held at the highest level to extend the ceasefire for a few more days.

Israel wants the ceasefire extended to release more hostages, while Hamas wants more aid trucks from Egypt into Gaza in exchange.
