New Delhi: A venue in Bengaluru where a rave party was going on was raided by the Central Crime Branch, leading to the seizure of ‘Ecstacy’ pills, cocaine and other drugs. The high-profile operation took place at a farmhouse near Electronic City in the wee hours of Sunday (May 19, 20224). Actors Srikanth and Hema were said to be involved in the rave party.

Reportedly, 17 MDMA pills and cocaine, among other drugs, were found from the venue. It is believed that more than 100 attendees from Andhra Pradesh and Bengaluru were among those present at the party. The guestlist included DJs, models, actors and techies.

Bengaluru rave party details

The controversial bash was billed as a birthday party organised by Hyderabad-based person Vasu. It was conducted between 5 pm on Saturday (May 18, 2024) and 6 am on Sunday (May 19, 2024). Over 15 luxury cars were found to be parked on the premises. In one of the vehicles, a pass belonging to an MLA from Andhra Pradesh was discovered.

According to a news agency, citing sources, the alleged rave party was estimated to cost Rs 50 lakh a day. A case in the matter has been filed at the Electronic City Police Station. Further investigations are underway by the agencies.

Srikanth, Hema deny presence

Refuting claims of her involvement, Hema reportedly released a video, saying that she was at a farmhouse in Hyderabad and not in Bengaluru. She urged fans not to believe in rumours and called reports of her involvement in the rave party ‘fake’.

Srikanth also issued a clarification through a video, stating that although someone involved in the rave party resembled him, he was actually at his home in Hyderabad. He stated that he found these talks amusing, mentioning that lately there have also been rumours about him divorcing Ooha.

As far as the rave party was concerned, medical tests of all party guests were conducted. When their reports are out, they are likely to be called for questioning.
