New Delhi. The Supreme Court on Monday extended the interim bail period of former Delhi minister Satyendar Jain till December 11. A bench of Justice A S Bopanna and Justice Bela M Trivedi passed this order after hearing the arguments of the concerned parties. The bench has fixed December 11 as the next hearing date.

The apex court had granted six weeks' interim bail (on medical grounds) to senior Aam Aadmi Party leader Jain on May 26 for his treatment, which was extended several times due to various reasons.

The Delhi High Court had rejected his bail plea in April, which he challenged before the top court through a special leave petition. Accused former minister Jain is accused of money laundering amounting to more than Rs 15 crore through three private companies during the financial year 2015-16 and 2010-12.
