A special Android feature is coming for iPhone users. Users will not need to open the phone to install the app on their phone. Apple has made this special change for the European Union. This new update will allow app developers to list their apps on alternative marketplaces. Developers can release their iOS apps for iPhone without listing them on the Apple App Store. MacRumors has first spotted this new feature for Apple iPhone. This new iOS 17.5 update from Apple will provide alternative marketplace for developers in the European Union. Last month, Apple announced that a web distribution feature was being worked on, which would give users the freedom to install iPhone apps directly from the web. Apple has named this feature Web Distribution.

condition for developers

Apple said that app developers will have to be a part of a two-year development program to make their apps compatible with iOS devices. Not only this, an app of the developer must have completed at least 1 million downloads. Only after this the developer will list his app for web distribution. For Apple Web Distribution, developers need access to API i.e. Application Programming Interface. Apart from this, the facility of automatic updates will be available without App Store. Apple will charge a core technology fee of EUR 0.50 i.e. approximately Rs 45 from developers participating in web distribution.
