Shahdol. A passenger bus suddenly caught fire today in Gohparu police station area of Shahdol district of Madhya Pradesh, however, a major accident was averted as the passengers got off in time.
According to police sources, the bus going from Raipur to Prayagraj was passing through Gohparu police station area in the early hours. Then a forest employee saw flames near the tire and the bus was moving. He tried to stop the bus immediately. All the passengers got off the bus, but the fire slowly engulfed the entire bus and it was completely burnt.
Sources say that the fire is said to have occurred due to burst tire of the bus and the bus traveling some distance in this condition. However, all the passengers got off in time and a major accident was averted. Police have registered the case and started investigation.
