Minor daughter kills father in UP

Kannauj: A minor girl allegedly killed her father by slitting his throat with a sharp weapon in a village in Uttar Pradesh’s Kannauj district. The teenager also tried to kill her brother but he managed to escape, police said. The incident took place in Karmullapur village in Chhibramau on Monday.

Killed father when he was asleep

According to police, the girl, a student of Class 12th, allegedly killed his father, Ajay Pal, around 2:00 am when he was sleeping. She also tried to kill her brother but he woke up on time. Following this, the accused’s brother raised an alarm and shouted for help, prompting neighbours to rush to their house. The accused teenager confessed to killing her father. The neighbours also informed the police about the incident.

Probe on

A police team reached the spot and took the victim’s body into custody. “A body of a person was found in Karmullapur area. During preliminary probe, it was found that the person was murdered by his minor daughter. Appropriate action will be taken after investigation,” a police official said. The body has been sent for post-mortem, the police said, adding that further probe into the matter is on.

While the exact reason of the murder is yet to be ascertained, locals claimed that the minor girl allegedly killed her father on the advice of a friend. The girl was allegedly upset with her father over some issue. It is also suspected that the teenager had mixed some intoxicant in the food.
