Muslim American leaders in many major states of America have decided not to support Biden in the elections. He says that Biden has given Israel free rein to conduct operations in Gaza. After this, Muslim leaders have decided to unite their community across the country so that Biden can be defeated in the upcoming general elections. This campaign has taken the form of an organization. The Muslim community said, “The #AbandonBiden2024 campaign has been designed to defeat Biden in the 2024 presidential elections.”
The US President and Vice President are elected by a group of “electors”, who in most cases are chosen by that state's political parties. This group is called the Electoral College. A large number of people from Muslim and Arab-American population are present in this group, due to which Biden is in danger of loss in the upcoming elections.
If not Biden then who?
After the opposition to Biden, the biggest question for the Muslim community is that if they do not want to make Biden the President, then who do they want to make?
“We don't have two choices, we have many more choices,” Jaylani Hussain, director of the Minnesota Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) chapter, said at a press conference in Dearborn, Michigan.
