The government has issued an order prohibiting forest officers from going on leave during the forest fire season. The official wildfire season begins on February 15 and ends on June 15.
PRD personnel have also been deployed to extinguish forest fires in Nainital district. Along with the forest department, the soldiers will also extinguish the fire. District Youth Welfare Officer Prateek Joshi said that the soldiers have been dispatched as per the instructions of the administration. Apart from this, women and men Mangal Dal awareness campaigns will also be run to reduce the incidents of fire. These parties must contact the ranger. People will be made aware and awareness campaigns will be conducted in those places where frequent incidents of fire are being reported.
