In which it was claimed that the Muslim population in India was 9.84 percent in 1950, which increased to 14.09 percent in 2015. In this way, the Muslim population increased by 43.15 percent in 75 years. Between 1950 and 2015, the share of majority Hindu population increased from 84.68 percent to 78.06 percent, showing a decrease of 7.82 percent. The report recorded an increase in Christian, Sikh and Buddhist populations, while a decline in Jain and Parsi populations.
