Beijing, May 20 (IANS) The 10th China International Senior Services Expo (CISSE) will be held from May 21 to 23 at the National Convention Centre in the Chinese capital Beijing. The exhibition area spans 22,000 square metres.

More than 220 government departments, social organizations and brand institutions from more than ten countries and regions, including France, the Netherlands, the UK and Canada, will participate. In the year 2024, CISSE will celebrate its 10th anniversary. It will maintain its commitment to “gratitude, care, service and development”.

This year, the expo will focus specifically on the rising expectations for elder care services and the need to develop new forms of elder care. It will cover various aspects such as domestic and foreign brands, talent training, information technology, facilities and equipment and cultural tourism.

Multiple exhibition areas will be set up to address these themes. Additionally, more than ten forums will be held focusing on topics such as building a talented workforce, innovative smart solutions for elderly care, community-based home services, rehabilitation and health management, and protection of legal rights.

Apart from this, the expo will include important activities like brand promotion events, talent recruitment fairs, calligraphy, painting and photography exhibitions, art and music night celebrations. It is important to note that China's silver economy is currently worth about 70 trillion yuan, which is about 6 percent of GDP.

However, it is projected to grow to 300 trillion yuan by 2035, representing nearly 10 per cent of GDP. This indicates tremendous potential for the silver economy in China.
