Kanker. 29 Naxalites were killed in an encounter by security forces in Kanker, Chhattisgarh. In which there was a reward of Rs 27 lakh each on two Naxalites. Three security forces personnel have been injured. In this encounter in Maad area of ​​Chhote Bethia police station area, Naxalite commander Shankar Rao, carrying a reward of Rs 27 lakh, was also killed. The bodies of all these have been recovered.

Three soldiers including BSF Inspector Ramesh Chaudhary have been injured in the encounter. Two of them are DRG personnel. Security forces have recovered 5 AK 47 rifles from the spot. The injured soldiers were brought to Raipur by helicopter. The injured DRG jawan Suryavanshi is a resident of Shrimali city of Dhamtari district. Shankar Rao and Lalita Madvi who were killed in the encounter were DVC rank Naxalite leaders. A reward of Rs 27-27 lakh was declared on both of them. Police have also seized 4 automatic weapons from the spot. The encounter between security forces and Naxalites lasted for 5 and a half hours. DIG Intelligence Alok Kumar Singh said that inputs about the movement of Naxalites were being received in Kanker area for the last few days. After this the police and BSF prepared for the operation. Under this, today's operation was planned. The Naxalites were surrounded at around 1 pm. The encounter started at 2 o'clock and continued till 7.30 in the evening. During this time, dead bodies of Naxalites were also recovered by the security forces.

Voting is to be held in Bastar Lok Sabha after 4 days on 19th April. Voting is to be held in the second phase in Kanker Lok Sabha. Nomination forms have also been filled for this. Voting will be held in Kanker on 26th April.

Five lakh rupees reward and government job announcement-

A reward of Rs 5 lakh has been announced for anyone who gives information about Naxalites in Kabirdham district and arrests them. Along with the reward, SP Abhishek Pallav has also announced a government job in the police department. A helpline number 78988 15399 has also been issued to provide information. For this, soldiers are putting posters with pictures of Naxalites on the walls in every village.
