Israel Hamas War: The first group of hostages was released from Gaza on Friday (24 November) under the four-day ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas. Of these, 13 are Israeli and 12 are Thai citizens.

Meanwhile, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant said that the ceasefire is just a short pause. He said, “The ceasefire is only for a short period. After this our army will work with full capacity. We will not stop in achieving our target.” Hamas leader Ismail Haniya said that we are ready to fulfill all the conditions under the agreement, but as long as Israel cooperates.

Israeli army withdraws from Al-Shifa hospital
The Health Ministry based in Gaza said that Israeli forces have withdrawn from Al-Shifa Hospital. The hospital’s survivors were in a damaged complex, whose main generator had been destroyed along with several buildings. Meanwhile, Israel Defense Force said on social media that people are at home.

“IDF special forces and ISA forces are currently accompanying the released hostages,” the Defense Force said. IDF soldiers will accompany them as they head to Israeli hospitals, where they will be reunited with their families. The IDF will continue to work with the entire Israeli security establishment until all hostages return home.

Why are agreements important?
Under the agreement, Israel will release 50 people held hostage by the extremist group Hamas in Gaza in exchange for the release of Palestinian prisoners. Under this, Hamas has released 13 Israeli people. This is big because for the first time there has been a pause in the war that started on October 7.

According to Al Jazeera, 14 thousand 800 people of Gaza have been killed in this war. At the same time, more than 1,200 Israeli people have lost their lives. Hamas has taken 240 people hostage in the war.
