Major accident in Chhattisgarh, iron pillar fell on the coaches of Shalimar Express, passenger's hand chopped off, four injured

Raipur. News of a major accident is coming from the railway station of the capital Raipur. Here an iron pillar fell on 2 to 3 coaches including S-6 coach of Shalimar Express coming from Calcutta to Raipur. A passenger traveling in the train lost his hand when an iron pole fell on the bogie, while three passengers, including an innocent child, suffered injuries. The passengers injured in this accident have been taken to the hospital. Railway officials including GRP, RPF have reached the spot. The accident occurred between Raipur and Urkura stations.

In this accident, Soumya Mandal, who was going from Kolkata to Thane in AC coach B-6 of the train, was also injured. It is being told that due to the fall of the iron pillar, the window glass of the AC coach of the train was broken and pieces of glass got stuck around the face and eyes of Soumya Mandal sitting on his seat. He got injured due to this. He has been admitted to the hospital after the accident.

Ankita Mandal, sister of injured passenger Soumya Mandal, told that her brother was sitting on his seat and she was sleeping. Meanwhile, suddenly the glass of the window of the coach broke and got stuck around the brother's face and eyes. Due to this the brother got badly injured. Ankita told that she was completely frightened by this sudden incident. In this accident, the hand of another passenger traveling in the coach was also cut. The passenger was bleeding profusely.

Here, primarily the negligence of the railway and electricity company contractors is being said to be the reason behind this accident. While pushing the underground cable, the glass of the AC bogie collided with the rod that came out. In this case, EE PK Singh of the electricity company said that he was getting the work done after taking permission.
