Keeping the opposition to the abrogation of Article 370 at the center, PDP released its manifesto for the Lok Sabha elections on Friday. In the manifesto, Mehbooba promises to raise her voice against the removal of Article 370 but nowhere does she promise to bring it back.
Pakistan's name is not mentioned in the manifesto
This manifesto is being considered as evidence of Mehbooba Mufti and PDP's softening stance on Article 370. Let us tell you here that this is the same Mehbooba who had warned that if Article 370 was violated then no one would be found holding the tricolor in Kashmir. This manifesto also calls for dialogue and reconciliation with all concerned parties to resolve the Kashmir issue. However, the name of Pakistan is not mentioned anywhere in it.
Mehbooba Mufti made allegations
In the past, Mehbooba has been advocating to include Pakistan in talks on an open platform. Releasing the manifesto, Mehbooba Mufti alleged that the abrogation of Article 370 has made the Kashmir issue more complicated. For the last five years, we have been collectively made weak. Here people are not being allowed to raise their voice, here people are being suppressed and shown that everything is fine. He said that we will go to the Parliament and raise voice for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
