Snow Storm Wreaks Havoc In Ukraine Amid War With Russia Rescued After Severe Storms

Ukraine Snowstorm: Odessa, the southern region of Ukraine, is in the grip of snow storm and rain amid the ongoing war with Russia. Lakhs of people are living without electricity after the storm flooded the roads, uprooted trees and felled power lines. So far 2,500 people have been rescued from the devastation of the snow storm.

Local governor Oleh Kipar has said that thousands of people have been affected due to the bad weather. Here the storm has broken trees and downed power lines. Kipper said hundreds of vehicles were still stuck in the storm. He said that currently relief and rescue work is going on on a large scale. So far, 849 vehicles have been pulled out of the storm, which includes 24 buses and 17 ambulances.

Five people died in Ukraine

According to Reuters report, at least five people have died in Ukraine and three in neighboring Moldova due to the storm. Snowfall and strong winds caused power outages in hundreds of towns and villages and highways were closed. According to reports, at least 19 people are injured in Ukraine and 10 people in Moldova. The Meteorological Department says that the weather is likely to get worse.

Zelensky told- how dangerous the storm is

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said regarding the snow storm that five people have died in the southern Odessa region. Along with this, he expressed the possibility that the number of dead could be much higher than this. Earlier, while giving information, the Energy Ministry of Ukraine said that due to uprooting of trees and breaking of power lines, electric substations failed, due to which about 150,000 houses in the area are without electricity. According to the report, in view of the dangerous impact of the storm, hundreds of people have been evacuated to safe places. Along with this, relief and rescue work is still going on in Odessa.
