Narayanpur. In the case of murder of a Congress leader in Narayanpur, Chhattisgarh, the police have arrested two accused from Bilaspur, Vishwajeet Nag and Jaspreet Singh Jassi, from near Paraghat toll plaza. Apart from this, 3 people have been detained from Bhilai. So far 9 people have been arrested in this case.
According to the police officials, during the checking at 10 pm, a vehicle broke the toll barrier and one person was chased and caught, while two accused in the vehicle tried to run over the policemen and escaped. While the police was searching for him vigorously, another accused was caught this morning, from whose possession the vehicle was also recovered. Now police teams are raiding possible locations to arrest the third accused. Earlier in the morning, Narayanpur police, with the help of Durg crime team, raided Sector-9 and Sector-7 of the township area and arrested three youths, Sanjeev Singh, Samuel and Rajeev Ranjan. In 2021, Samuel has also gone to jail in a bank robbery case. In this case, police teams have conducted raids in Narayanpur, Rajnandgaon, Bilaspur, Jagdalpur, Kondagaon and Durg districts. More than 9 accused are suspected to be involved in the murder of the Congress leader. It is noteworthy that Congress leader Vikram Bais was shot dead two days ago in Narayanpur. Bike riding miscreants shot him three times. Vikram Bais had gone out for a walk outside his house in Bakhrupara, district headquarters. Hearing the sound of bullets, nearby people came out of their houses and he was brought to the district hospital, but by then Bais had died.
