According to the Election Commission, a candidate can appoint one polling agent and two relievers at the polling station.
According to the rules, only one who is a voter at the same polling booth can become a polling agent, if not, then a person from a nearby village or town can be chosen as the agent.
The candidate has to give information about polling agents to the polling officials in advance. After which an identity card in their name is prepared and they get the right to sit in the booth.
